Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance and other assignments throughout the facilities and grounds.
- Present a friendly and professional image at the Hotel/Casino.
- Enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
- Provide impeccable guest service to all guests.
- Maintain building by performing preventive maintenance and other related maintenance activities.
- Perform preventive maintenance throughout the property, including hotel rooms.
- Open, track, and close out work orders and PMs.
- Conduct data entry on work orders.
- Observe safety rules and maintain a safe environment.
- Notify Director of Facilities concerning needs of major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, cooling, plumbing and equipment.
- Follow established procedures and policies of the Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-3 years technical experience in specialty or general maintenance field required.
- Must be able to perform the physical job duties of all Facilities team members.
- Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Language Skills- Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
- Written communication skills in English may also be required.
- Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Oaklawn Jockey Club.
