About This JobTHIS IS A PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITY FOR PERMANENT CLASSIFIED SLFPA-WEST EMPLOYEES ONLY**
Position OverviewThis position provides physical effort to accomplish a variety of manual tasks and entry-level equipment operation. Operates mobile equipment to accomplish transportation, maintenance or construction tasks.
Responsibilities- Operates motorized equipment including, but not limited to: zero-tum mowers, push lawn mowers, line trimmers, blowers, skid steer loaders, front end loaders, dump trucks, 15'tractors, flail mowers and other equipment to support operations under the jurisdiction of the Authority.
- Performs a wide variety of physical labor functions, such as moving, loading and unloading materials, supplies and equipment.
- Performs daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment prior to beginning work.
- Assists mechanic with minor repairs to equipment as required, including disassembling and reassembling parts, and lubricating and fueling equipment.
No experience or training is required.
