Job Overview

The Janitor maintains clean, safe and well‑kept outdoor grounds and indoor shop areas through routine maintenance, cleaning and basic facility upkeep.

• Maintain walkways, parking areas and exterior building surroundings to ensure cleanliness and safety
• Clean and maintain outdoor areas by removing trash, debris and leaves as needed
• Perform light cleaning of interior work spaces, hallways, windows and facility entrances
• Maintain cleanliness of shop areas through sweeping, mopping, dusting and wiping down surfaces
• Clean and sanitize restrooms including trash removal, sweeping, mopping, disinfecting and restocking supplies
• Empty trash cans and recycling bins and ensure proper waste disposal
• Monitor and replenish janitorial supplies such as paper products, soap and sanitizers
• Follow proper procedures for handling and storing cleaning chemicals safely
• Identify areas needing deep cleaning and perform periodic heavy‑duty cleaning tasks
• Assist with set up and clean up for meetings, events or facility activities
• Replace light bulbs, ceiling tiles and air filters as directed
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

• 1+ years experience in a janitorial / groundskeeping role within an industrial, shop or yard environment
• Must be able to pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical

80 to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors. Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet and dry conditions, dust, mud etc. They will also be exposed to paint thinner and paint fumes.
