Maintenance Custodian Associate

Position Summary

Are you ready to help shape a member’s entire shopping experience by giving them a positive first and last impression? We are looking for people who take pride in their work to join our team. As a Maintenance Associate at Sam’s Club, you are responsible for ensuring members see a well‑kept parking lot, clean restrooms, and clean floors. This means you are constantly on your feet and on the go.

Maintaining a positive attitude will ensure customers have a great experience from start to finish.

Maintain the safety of the facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines including conducting safety sweeps, following proper forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, and adhering to company steel standards. Report unsafe situations to Management.

Clean all areas of the facility (floors, windows, restrooms, trash receptacles) using approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment following company procedures.

Respond to spills, operate floor scrubbers, and dispose of cardboard, plastic, and trash in accordance with the company Environmental Sustainability Program, ensuring a safe and clean environment for members and associates.

Maintain appropriate levels of company‑approved chemicals and supplies, rotate and store them properly, and place orders to replenish supplies when levels are low.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred qualifications are optional and may include experience in facilities maintenance, forklift operation, or safety training.

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $24.00. The actual hourly rate will be at or above the applicable minimum wage for the location. Premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour under specific circumstances.
