Openwork is partnering with a respected industrial client in Northeast Houston to hire a reliable and motivated Maintenance & Custodial Technician

Your Impact in This RoleAs a Maintenance & Custodial Technician, you will play an essential role in supporting daily operations by maintaining a clean, hazard‑free, and well‑organized environment. Your work directly contributes to productivity, safety compliance, and overall team success.
This position is ideal for someone who works independently, values consistency, and thrives in a fast‑paced industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Sweep, mop, and maintain floors and walkways throughout the facility.
- Clean and sanitize production areas, workstations, and equipment.
- Safely remove debris using appropriate tools and cleaning equipment.
- Perform light painting and assist with minor maintenance projects.
- Maintain clean and organized breakrooms and common areas.
- Empty and clean trash hoppers and bins.
- Assist with outdoor upkeep, including trash removal and light landscaping.
- Coordinate with operators to safely clean around machinery.
- Support additional facility‑related duties as needed.
- Monday – Friday.
- 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
- Occasional Saturdays as required.
- Experience in janitorial, custodial, or facility maintenance preferred.
- Comfortable working in an industrial environment.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Safety‑conscious mindset.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Forklift experience strongly preferred, but not required.
