DescriptionFirst impressions matter—and our Porters set the tone! SYNC Residential is hiring a Porter for SYNC Sawyer Heights. This 361‑unit luxury mid‑rise community relies on a proactive team member who takes pride in maintaining peak community appearance and ensuring a clean, inviting atmosphere for residents and prospects. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, and a valid Driver’s License is required.
ADay in the Life of a Porter with SYNC Residential
- Walk all grounds, parking lots or garages, pool areas, amenity spaces, and common areas to remove all waste items and ensure the community is at peak presentation.
- Manage and move trash compactors and dumpsters based on community collection schedule.
- Complete power washing and other similar preventative maintenance projects as assigned.
- Empty garbage receptacles and pet waste stations throughout community.
- Clean pet park and remove pet waste.
- Monitor and report landscaping and irrigation system conditions on behalf of the service team.
- Enter work orders for any noted areas that need attention.
- Assist in the make‑ready process as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties- Pick up and clean the entire community exterior including amenities and common areas using company-supplied materials and equipment and following manufacturer’s directions.
- Maintain peak appearance of the property exterior at all times.
- Provide non‑technical support to other on‑site staff positions.
- Assist with operating and maintaining the pool, including daily chemical balance checks and ensuring proper conditions.
- Clean and maintain club facilities in an orderly, presentable and decorative fashion.
- Maintain cleanliness of office and all other amenity and common area facilities, ensuring general cleanliness of grounds, laundry rooms, walkways, streets, driveways, parking lots, entrances, foyers, breezeways, recreational areas, etc.; may perform exterior building light checks and assist with repairs and replacement of same.
- Perform supplemental landscape maintenance and irrigation system repair or supplemental watering as required.
- Clean out vacated apartments as directed, including carpet repairs, dyeing, and shampooing.
- Incorporate safety and customer service into all job duties.
- Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
- Remove, relocate and/or install furniture and other household items in designated apartments or buildings as directed.
- Support unscheduled maintenance on an “as‑needed” basis (e.g., digging ditches, breaking up concrete, lifting A/C compressors, etc.).
- Post notices as required or instructed by supervisor.
- Travel to suppliers to pick up parts and supplies as directed.
