Job SummaryPosition responsible for all phases of maintenance duties in the repair and alteration of buildings, equipment facilities, and physical plant operation. Monday – Friday 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm.
Minimum Qualifications- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Licenses/Certifications: None
- Experience / Knowledge /
Skills:
One year of experience or a certificate of completion from a technical/trade school or military experience in an associated mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, electronics, or general construction trade skill.
- Performs a variety of routine standard servicing/repair operations to maintain hospital buildings, equipment, furnishing, fixtures and grounds in proper condition as directed.
- Performs urgent, corrective, routine and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems as required; performs preventative maintenance on equipment and physical structures, maintaining related records.
- Assists in maintaining and repairing HVAC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels in all environmentally controlled areas.
- Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors, adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management and productivity of service.
- Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
