Description

Primary Responsibilities and Key Deliverables:

Perform routine janitorial work in varying facilities types, and additional cleaning duties as needed.

Be familiar with a variety of the cleaning concepts, practices, and procedures. Must be on time and pleasant

Locations: Multiple

Shift: Morning and Evening

Responsibilities:
  • Available for call-ins, flexible schedule, shift coverage day or evening.
  • Must have dependable transportation.
  • Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
  • Gather and empty trash and transport to collection bins.
  • Clean restroom areas, top to bottom, including men's, women's and unisex restrooms and restock paper and hand soap supplies.
  • Clean café, break rooms or other areas as required.
  • Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
  • Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
  • Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to SDS specifications.
  • Clean laboratory equipment, such as glassware and metal instruments, using solvents, brushes, rags, and power cleaning equipment.
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
  • Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
  • Move furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
  • Clear debris from exterior grounds, and building surroundings
  • Notify managers concerning the need for repairs, i.e. leaking faucets, running toilets.
  • Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.
  • Various other job duties as asked by supervisor.
