Job Summary
Spec’s Liquor is hiring a full‑time Cleaning and Maintenance team member to keep the store clean, safe, and welcoming. The position involves sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, performing light maintenance tasks, and assisting with store organization and safety compliance. Candidates must be dependable, detail‑oriented, able to lift up to 50lbs, and work in a fast‑paced retail environment. A competitive hourly rate and a flexible schedule that includes weekends are offered.

- Knows and actively demonstrates, daily, the company Mission Statement and Core Values.
- Efficiently carries out all directives given by the Management Team with a sense of urgency.
- Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
- Cleans windows and mirrors.
- Cleans, disinfects, and supplies restrooms.
- Removes waste and empties trash.
- Routinely disinfects and sterilizes all facility areas on a 2‑hour schedule.
- Maintains a cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected.
- Replenishes cleaning and maintenance supplies.
- Organizes janitorial storage areas.
- Notifies supervisors about unsafe conditions or the need for repairs or maintenance.
- Handles basic maintenance building repairs and other janitorial work.
- Practices teamwork and cooperation with coworkers.
- Seeks continuous improvement of related skills and knowledge to contribute to profitability and productivity.
- Undertakes responsibilities with care and attention to detail.
- Works in accordance with all safety regulations of Specs Family Partners and OSHA.
- Maintains attendance and timeliness: this is not a job that can be performed from home.
- Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred; 1–2 years of janitorial experience favored but not required. - Language:
Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions or memos; able to speak and communicate with coworkers and guests. - Mathematical:
Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide, count inventory) without a calculator. - Attitudinal and Personal
Skills:
Responsible, reliable, committed; patience, friendliness, outgoing personality; self‑starter with strong work ethic and timely completion of assignments.
Full‑time is typically 40 hours per week. Must be available to work any shift on Friday or Saturday and must be available 80% or more of all shifts each week. Part‑time is up to 25 hours per week. Work outside scheduled time requires Store Manager approval.
Physical DemandsRequires standing, walking, bending, using hands and fingers, reaching, climbing or balancing. Must regularly lift or move up to 50lbs and occasionally up to 100lbs with proper tools. Must operate an industrial machine to move pallets up to 2400lbs. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentThe job involves exposure to outside weather conditions while working in the warehouse. The noise level is usually moderate to loud.
