JOB SUMMARY The Janitor will ensure the buildings are tidy, clean and well-maintained.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSComply with company Safety Policies and Procedures Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors

Waxing furniture and cleaning fixtures

Disposing of trash and emptying trash receptacles

Performing minor repairs

Keeping buildings free from indoor pests

Maintaining cleaning equipment

Maintaining inventory of cleaning agents and equipment

Ensuring equipment and lights are switched off, and premises are locked after hours

Collaborating with contract cleaning services

Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility KNOWLEDGE,

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Proficient knowledge of cleaning equipment and agents

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Proficient with handling basic maintenance repairs

Physically agile and dexterous

Available to work after hours.

Resilient to cleaning agents and chemicals.

Outstanding organizational skills

Basic mathematical skills EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE The employee should have the following:

No minimum education requirement

No prior experience or training required.

ESSENTIAL

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS /WORK ENVIRONMENT The employee should possess the ability to:

Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable.

Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out.

Prolong standing or in stationary position for 10 hours per day.

Complete repetitive movements.

Bend and/or twist.

Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds.

Pull and push a cleaning cart up to 20 pounds.

Ability to move or traverse about the facilities.

Walking around the facility for long periods of time, average walking of 10 hours per day with 3 breaks of 15 minutes and 1 break of 30 minutes.

Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions.

Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision protection)
