Janitorial Services
Maintains the day-to-day cleanliness, appearance, and readiness of public and common areas in commercial, retail, airport, hospitality, healthcare, convention center, arena, and other institutional facilities. This position is focused on ongoing daytime service, restroom and common-area replenishment, trash removal, touch-up cleaning, and quick response to cleaning needs in occupied spaces.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following, (other duties may be assigned):
- Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
- Sweeps and spot cleans floors.
- Spot cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
- Dusts furniture and equipment.
- Polishes metalwork.
- Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Cleans glass and windows.
- Stocks restrooms and common areas.
- Operates quality assurance platform for entering tasks and updating and resolving work tickets, as necessary.

Education/ExperienceA high school diploma or a general education degree (GED) is required; experience in janitorial work is preferred, but not required. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Computer SkillsAbility to use mobile devices or on-site systems for task reporting, time tracking, or work ticket updates. Training will be provided.
Language AbilityAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to understand and communicate basic instructions and safety information in English.
Math AbilityAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in liquid units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems related to the job. Ability to follow both written and oral instructions from managers and supervisors. Must be able to demonstrate correct use of chemicals, supplies, and tools assigned. Must be able to operate mechanical equipment, once trained, and detect equipment malfunctions.
