Salary Range: $40,000.00 To $45,000.00 Annually

Reports To: Facilities Director
Hours: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Performs daily maintenance of buildings and grounds, which include classrooms, common areas, bathrooms, sports courts, gardens, and parking lots.
- Assists in all set-up for School programs. Breaks down and cleans up after programs.
- Paints classrooms and other areas of building as directed during summer and holiday break clean up periods.
- Performs cleanup and worksite restoration activities, i.e., picking up litter, disposing of waste and debris, cleaning surfaces.
- Assists with custodial duties and building maintenance and repairs, as required.
- Operates various electric, gas and manually powered tools and equipment, i.e., saws, sprayers, air compressors and various other tools as required to perform assigned tasks.
- Performs regular preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment used; makes repairs within the scope of abilities.
- Responds to and takes appropriate actions in the event of emergency or critical incidents to resolve, confine or prevent potentially injurious or hazardous conditions.
- Request supplies as needed.
- Class B with passenger endorsement Commercial Drivers License (CDL) will be a requirement, we have 71 passenger activity bus we use for field trips and school pickups. Post Oak is willing to pay for a CDL license for the candidate who will commit to our team long term.
- The duties and responsibilities of the Bus Driver/facilities technician include providing transportation services for students in accordance with the policies and procedures. These responsibilities may include vehicle maintenance and cleaning.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred and previously related experience.
- Basic computer skills including email and word processing programs
- Ability to operate standard custodial and grounds-keeping equipment.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding and to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- Ability to ascertain which people may need immediate assistance and to act accordingly.
- Ability to perform basic first aid. (First Aid/CPR training provided annually.)
- Ability to communicate effectively with all constituents in a school environment.
- Commercial drivers license (CDL)
- Experience working in a school environment around children.
- Tasks involve the ability to exert heavy physical effort in heavy work, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials weighing 20 to 50 pounds; may occasionally involve heavier objects and materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Tasks are regularly performed with potential exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as strong odors, fumes, dusts, wetness, humidity, machinery, vibrations, temperature and noise extremes, disease, pathogenic substances and toxic/poisonous agents.
