Position: Medical Imaging Field Engineer 3 - XP - Houston, TX

  • Service Area – Houston, TX
  • Shift: 1st or 2nd
Responsibilities
  • Servicing XP Imaging Equipment as a Customer Service Engineer in the Houston, TX area.
  • Installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on all Siemens Healthcare systems at customer sites with minimal supervision.
  • Delivering timely and effective repairs and providing operator training to ensure optimal system performance and superior customer satisfaction.
  • Managing financial performance within the territory, meeting or exceeding budget for revenue generation, expense control, and inventory management.
  • Managing tool and test equipment expiration dates, ensuring no overdue calibration test equipment is used, and documenting usage on eFSR.
  • Managing company assets, including a company car, cell phone, computer, tools, and inventory parts.
  • Establishing and maintaining proper business relationships with customers and peers, and performing necessary administrative duties accurately.
  • Providing mentoring to other CSEs on competencies and responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience performing service, preventive maintenance, and modifications on Medical Imaging Equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, and accurately perform administrative duties.
  • Experience testing, repairing, and maintaining capital medical equipment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Minimum high‑school diploma; technical associate’s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficient in tools and service test equipment, able to work individually and in a team setting.
  • Proficiency with network applications and tools (eVO, mButler, MS Office, Concur, NAM Customer Service website – Engineer Tools).
  • Can locate, read, and understand documents for install, setup, repair, troubleshooting, schematics, block diagrams, and functional descriptions.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing imaging instruments.
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to drive independently day and night, and good driving record.
  • Physical requirements:

    lifting up to 50 lbs, walking, ladder/climbing, bending, twisting, sitting, squatting, standing, high‑reach, fine grasping manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone.
  • Knowledge of instrument systems technology, including mechanics, electrical, chemistry, and software; experience with electronics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
