EVS Floor Tech II - Housekeeping (Ben Taub Hospital), Salary: $19.10 - $22.27

Assists in all activities of the Environmental Services (EVS) department with primary duties being floor care maintenance. Follow routine floor care and cleaning schedules and respond to unscheduled tasks and project assignments. Duties may also include cleaning and maintaining all areas of Harris Health System facilities. Must operate equipment safely, ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors, and take personal responsibility for safety.

Work assignments may be completed individually or in a team setting.

• Follow routine floor care and cleaning schedules.
• Respond to unscheduled tasks and project assignments.
• Clean and maintain all areas of Harris Health System facilities.
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment safely.
• Ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.
• Work individually or as part of a team.

• High School diploma or GED preferred, or six months recent hospitality, commercial or healthcare housekeeping experience in lieu of diploma/GED.
• Three years hospitality, commercial or healthcare housekeeping experience with at least one year of hard floor maintenance and restoration of commercial floor care.
• No management experience required.
• Proficiency in People Soft and PC.

• Heavy equipment including high speed and low speed machines, walk‑behind and riding scrubbers, burnishers, extractors, and wet vacuums.
