Parking Garage Porter

** Overview*
* Pay: $18.00 an hour

The Garage Porter provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area.

** Responsibilities*
* + Clean and maintain buildings/facilities/ parking garages

+ Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures

+ Notify Manager concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to garage operating systems

+ Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.

+ Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities

+ Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, light fixtures and equipment

+ Move boxes, furniture, crates and equipment , either manually or by using golf cart

+ Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees

+ Change light bulbs

+ Gather and empty trash

+ Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks

+ Wipe and clean elevator cabs

+ Service, clean, and supply restrooms

+ Pick up trash

+ Work weekend as needed

+ Pressure washing

+ Painting curbs, lines and any other items that are needed.

+ Clean cobwebs off light fixtures

+ Dust and clean stairwells

+ Count occupied garage spaces daily.

+ Service garage gate equipment for minor repairs.

** Qualifications*
* + Must be 21 years of age or older.

+ Must have a valid driver license.

+ Must have painting experience.

+ No high school diploma, GED or college degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Customer service experience

+ 1 year of similar work experience

+ Painting experience
