Program Summary

The Baghdad Staff Diplomatic Apartments (SDA) Housekeeping Services Program provides full-service housekeeping, custodial, and apartment make-ready services that support the safe, clean, and efficient operation of Department of State residential facilities in Baghdad. The program is designed to maintain all assigned apartments, common areas, and support spaces in a sanitary, professional, and mission-ready condition while ensuring residents receive high-quality living accommodations that support the Department’s diplomatic mission.

Through disciplined execution, proactive management, and customer-focused service delivery, the Baghdad SDA Housekeeping Services Program provides reliable residential support that enhances resident satisfaction and sustains mission readiness across all assigned facilities.

The Janitor supports K  operations by maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary facilities in accordance with U.S. Government, embassy, and K  standards. The role is essential to health, safety, and mission continuity.

Please note:

This position is located in Baghdad, Iraq and is contingent on award.

• Clean and sanitize offices, hallways, restrooms, stairwells, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and doors
• Disinfect frequently touched surfaces (doorknobs, railings, desks)
• Refill restroom supplies (soap, paper towels, tissue)

• Must be a Local National
• Must be able to communicate (read/write/speak) English
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a MRPT
• Must obtain and maintain local base access
• Must possess a valid Country or International Driver’s License

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience, preferably in government, embassy, or military facilities
• Experience working in a secure or controlled environment
• Familiarity with U.S. Government or K  cleaning and sanitation standards
• Knowledge of safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment (SDS/MSDS)
• Basic English communication skills (verbal and written)
