In a luxury home, a domestic housekeeper takes on a comprehensive range of responsibilities that go far beyond standard housekeeping services. These duties include:
- Function & Presentation:
Strong emphasis on both function and presentation throughout the home - Impeccable Cleaning and Maintenance:
High-end housekeeping demands meticulous care, including the proper handling of fine furniture, antiques, and luxury fabrics. - Laundry and Wardrobe Care:
Managing designer garments, couture pieces, and specialty fabrics with precision, including steaming, pressing, and seasonal wardrobe rotations. - Organization and Household Efficiency:
Ensuring all areas of the residence are impeccably arranged, from pantries to walk-in closets. - Inventory and Supplies Management:
Restocking premium household supplies and working with vendors to source specialty cleaning products. - Guest and Event Preparation:
Setting up guest rooms, preparing spaces for entertaining, and executing last-minute adjustments to meet high standards. - Security and Discretion:
Maintaining a confidential and secure environment, respecting the privacy of UHNW individuals and their families.
Outline of Responsibilities:
Morning Routine:
- Begin each day with a full house sweep: collect laundry, reset common areas, tidy surfaces
- Assess the home for any issues requiring immediate attention
Daily Maintenance:
- Make beds daily; and change linens weekly or as needed
- Manage full laundry cycle (wash, dry, fold, iron, put away), including delicate and high-end garments
- Maintain kitchen and living spaces (dishes, counters, floors, trash removal)
- Clean bathrooms thoroughly and consistently
- Spot-clean and address spills, particularly those related to children
- Sanitize high-touch points frequently
- Organize and return items to their proper place
- Check Cushions & under furniture for misplaced items
Deep Cleaning & Scheduling:
- Execute a rotating deep-clean schedule (baseboards, oven, refrigerator, windows, patio, garage, etc.)
- Follow structured cleaning checklists for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual tasks
- Track seasonal and specialty cleaning needs (ceiling fans, chandeliers, etc.)
- Execute a rotating deep-clean schedule for the entire home, tailored to each room's specific needs
Organization & Inventory:
- Maintain visual and functional organization systems (photo guides provided)
- Monitor inventory levels and proactively restock supplies
- Support household organization projects (decluttering, seasonal storage, etc.)
- Maintain a high standard of presentation at all times
Family Support & Light Food Preparation:
- Prepare healthy snacks and assist with light food prep (washing/chopping produce, boiling eggs, etc.)
- Support daily routines (unpacking lunchboxes, post-school cleanup)
- Provide light pet care (weekly litter box maintenance)
End-of-Day Wrap-Up:
- Reset all rooms and ensure the home is tidy and organized
- Take out trash, collect mail, and complete a final walkthrough
- Complete a final check of doors and locks
Requirements:
