Engineering Director

Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Director to lead general maintenance and engineering operations across a commercial real estate portfolio. In this on-site role, you will oversee building systems, preventive and corrective maintenance, vendor performance, budgets, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. You will drive reliability, energy efficiency, and sustainability initiatives while supervising a multi-disciplinary maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day engineering and general maintenance operations for assigned properties.
• Develop and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for building systems.
• Manage and coordinate vendors and contractors, ensuring quality, safety, and SLA adherence.
• Monitor building performance, troubleshoot system issues, and drive reliability improvements.
• Plan and manage maintenance and capital budgets, controlling costs and forecasting needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements and JLL standards.
• Implement energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives across facilities.
• Use CMMS and other tools to track work orders, asset data, and performance metrics.
• Supervise, train, and develop maintenance and engineering staff.
• Support client relationships, reporting on building performance and maintenance activities.
