Maintenance Manager – Food Manufacturing
Location: Texas/Houston
Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 + Bonus

The OpportunityA leading food manufacturing operation is looking to appoint an experienced Maintenance Manager to take ownership of the maintenance and reliability function at a high-volume manufacturing facility in Texas.
This is a senior site-level leadership position for someone who can lead a maintenance team, improve plant reliability and work closely with Operations and Engineering to drive measurable improvements in uptime, efficiency and equipment performance.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in food, beverage, CPG or other high-volume manufacturing environments and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced production facility.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, develop and manage the site's maintenance team.
- Own the site's preventative and predictive maintenance strategy.
- Drive improvements in equipment reliability, uptime and OEE.
- Reduce unplanned downtime through effective root-cause analysis and corrective action.
- Manage maintenance budgets, contractors, spare parts and resources.
- Partner closely with Production and Operations leadership to prioritise maintenance activity.
- Support CAPEX projects, equipment installations and plant improvements.
- Develop and implement maintenance KPIs and performance measures.
- Build a proactive maintenance culture across the facility.
- Coach and develop maintenance technicians and supervisors.
- Ensure all maintenance activity meets company safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across plant maintenance and reliability.
- 7+ years of maintenance or engineering experience within manufacturing.
- Previous experience managing a maintenance team within a manufacturing facility.
- Food, beverage, CPG, dairy, meat, bakery, ingredients or similar manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge.
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, conveyors, packaging equipment, pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Strong understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance programmes.
- Experience managing maintenance budgets and external contractors.
- Proven track record of improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline is preferred but not essential where relevant experience is strong.
$120,000 – $150,000 base salary + annual bonus
