Janitor Day Shift

Overview

Job Summary: Bongards Creameries is looking for a dedicated, dynamic and experienced individual to join us as the Day Shift Janitor. The Janitor is responsible for keeping our facility (interior, exterior) in compliance with Hygiene, Safety and GMP regulations.

• Maintain cleanliness of all offices, break areas, locker rooms, labs and restrooms
• Use floor scrubber to clean high traffic areas
• Maintain perimeter of plant free of vegetation and litter
• Must be able to operate a forklift and maintain certification
• Must learn and perform all duties listed on the Janitorial Master Sanitation Schedule
• Stock and maintain inventory for PPE, Drinks, Utensils, Cleaning Products on shelves
• Disposal of trash and cardboard
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms at Bongards warehouses
• All other duties as assigned

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Excellent Math and Reading skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to follow written, verbal instructions
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
• Previous janitor experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Must adhere to and follow all Safety, GMP, and other quality guidelines.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be able to be certified to drive a company vehicle.
• Ability to spend long periods of time standing
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to carry up to 45 pounds
• Must report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or their designated replacement.

• Day Shift 6:00am to 3:00pm Monday – Friday
