Campus Maintenance Specialist
Position Number: 001739 | E-Class CN - Class Nonexempt Full Time
Location:
MU – Marshall University
Salary Range: $28,777 - $33,094 (Salary Grade 2, Salary Type Full-Time)
Responsibilities- Perform skilled technical work in maintaining, modifying, repairing, and removing HVAC systems, devices, and related controls.
- Execute preventive maintenance using hand and power tools, precision measuring, and testing devices to make adjustments or repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications, work orders or verbal instructions.
- Maintain generators: refuel generators and campus equipment, check fluid levels, battery conditions, test them once a month for operation status, and conduct small repairs. Assist contractors on larger repairs and load testing.
- Maintain chemical stations for boilers and chillers: check levels in systems multiple times a week, troubleshoot chemical controllers and feed stations, change empty drums, and help deliver chemicals to buildings and/or boiler rooms.
- Work week: 37.5 hours.
- Annual holidays: 13 paid holidays.
- Annual and sick leave: 24 days of annual leave per year (max 360 hours) and 18 days of sick leave per year.

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Driver’s License.
- 1 year Facilities Maintenance/Construction experience or equivalent combination of related experience, Facilities and Operations/Internship experience, education, and training.
- Tech/Vocational School education.
- Certification/Special Licensing.
- 3 years Facilities Maintenance/Construction experience or equivalent combination of related experience, Facilities and Operations/Internship experience, education, and training.
