Part-Time Grounds Helper

J.H. Fletcher & Co., a worldwide leader in the manufacture of heavy mobile machinery, is seeking a temporary Part-Time Grounds Helper to join our Huntington, WV facility. This temporary position is ideal for students or individuals looking for summer employment while gaining hands-on experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. The Part-Time Grounds Helper will assist with general plant upkeep, painting, and other related tasks to help maintain a safe, clean, and organized workplace.

Required:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to safely perform physical labor in an industrial environment
• Dependable with a strong work ethic
• Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Preferred:

• Previous experience with painting or general maintenance
• Experience using basic hand tools
• Knowledge of safe work practices

• Clean and maintain the interior and exterior of company buildings and grounds
• Paint walls, railings, and other designated areas
• Pick up trash and debris throughout the facility and surrounding property
• Assist with basic general labor tasks
• Help organize work areas, storage locations, and supplies
• Operate basic hand tools and equipment safely
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Risk Manager
