- Perform routine inspections of the facility to identify and address maintenance needs, safety hazards, and potential issues.
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with building systems, equipment, and machinery to determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Repair or replace faulty equipment, parts, or fixtures, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, materials used, and any relevant observations.
- Assist in the development and execution of preventative maintenance plans to extend the lifespan of equipment and minimize costly breakdowns.
- Perform tasks related to building aesthetics, such as painting, flooring repairs, and general cleaning.
- Participate in safety inspections and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and protocols.
- Provide support during facility-related projects, renovations, or reconfigurations.
- Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and materials to assist in procurement as needed.
- Maintain a proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and optimization of facility operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in facility maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Facility Specialist or similar role, with a strong understanding of building systems and equipment.
- Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while handling multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 30 lbs., climb ladders, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift, sit, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods during work shifts.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols related to facility maintenance.
- Basic computer skills and experience using maintenance management software is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. individually or 50 lbs. in tandem.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and bend for extended periods during working hours.
