Senior Facilities Coordinator

COLSA Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Coordinator to oversee day-to-day building operations, maintenance activities, and facility support services for our Huntsville, AL campus. This role serves as the primary point of coordination for facility maintenance and repairs, work orders, outside contractors, preventive maintenance, and the overall safety and functionality of the facility.

This position requires full-time onsite support at COLSA's Huntsville Corporate Office and may require occasional after-hours or weekend work to respond to facility emergencies or support operational requirements.

• Oversees day-to-day facility operations and maintenance activities to ensure buildings, work spaces, and equipment remain safe, clean, functional, and available for use.
• Provides day-to-day supervision and direction to assigned facilities personnel, including coordinating work assignments, priorities, and facility support activities.
• Receives, manages, and tracks facility work orders and service requests through resolution.
• Coordinates maintenance, repairs, and specialized facility services with employees and outside contractors.
• Develops and implements preventive maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment.
• Monitors facility conditions and identifies maintenance, repair, and safety needs.
• Ensures applicable facility safety standards and procedures are followed.
• Participates in emergency preparedness planning and supports facility-related response activities.
• Applies for, or assists with, required environmental permits and maintains related documentation.
• Maintains inventory of facility supplies and coordinates replenishment as needed.
• Maintains facility records, reports, and logs related to maintenance and facility activities.
• Coordinates with internal departments as needed to address facility requirements and resolve issues.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements: With or without reasonable accommodation, ability to move throughout the facility, including standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing stairs; occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or move items weighing up to 50 pounds; and assist with moving heavier furniture, equipment, and materials using appropriate assistance or equipment.

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in facilities management, building operations, facility maintenance, or related area
• Ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform the physical requirements of the position, including occasionally lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work occasional after-hours or weekends as needed to respond to facility emergencies or support operational requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software necessary to create and maintain reports and logs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to effectively interact with employees, contractors, customers, and senior leadership.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

• Current, active security clearance.
• Previous experience supervising or leading facilities, maintenance, or building operations teams
