The Maintenance Team Member plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of Jellystone Park Zion. This position is responsible for maintaining the park's grounds, facilities, and equipment to provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of handling a variety of tasks, from repairs to landscaping, while working in a fast-paced, family-friendly setting.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on park facilities, including cabins, restrooms, and recreational areas.
- Troubleshoot and fix minor electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues.
- Conduct regular inspections of park amenities to ensure everything is in good working condition.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of park grounds, including landscaping, mowing, trimming, and debris removal.
- Ensure trash and recycling bins are emptied regularly.
- Assist in maintaining pool and waterpark areas, including cleaning, chemical checks, and general upkeep.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain park equipment, such as golf carts, tools, and playground structures.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order and properly stored after use.
- Respond to guest requests or concerns promptly and professionally, addressing maintenance-related issues as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with park policies and regulations.
- Identify and address potential hazards to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Assist with emergency maintenance or repairs as needed.
- Assist the events team with setup and takedown for park activities and events, including moving equipment or preparing spaces.
- General knowledge of maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Ability to operate basic tools, equipment, and machinery (e.g., mowers, power tools, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physically capable of standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
- Previous experience in maintenance, landscaping, or a related field is a plus.
- Familiarity with pool maintenance and water treatment is beneficial (certifications like CPO are a bonus).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
