Position SummaryThe Team Lead is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily operational activities with the assistance of the Operations Supervisor. The Lead manages associates in the warehousing, receiving, and shipping of product, ensuring compliance with company service and cost objectives. This role requires a focus on performance, safety, and quality, and adherence to all corporate and site‑specific policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Training Responsibilities- Mentor and train new and existing associates in distribution activities to meet customer demands.
- Educate associates on Standard Operating Procedures for shipping, receiving, picking, and quality control.
- Assist with forklift operation and certification for new and existing associates.
- Oversee and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product, and the picking and staging of outbound shipments.
- Verify inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers ensuring all products are properly counted.
- Load orders efficiently and accurately according to appropriate doors and trailers.
- Process all shipping/receiving/picking functions as defined by Standard Operating Procedures.
- Research and resolve discrepancies that occur in the shipping and receiving process.
- Maintain professional appearance and communications at all times.
- Communicate with customers via telephone, electronically, or in person as required.
- Prepare activity reports accurately and efficiently for site management.
- Use appropriate documentation to ensure all product and orders are received or shipped correctly and accurately picked.
- Verify products and orders meet quality standards; report damages or discrepancies.
- Stack, package, shrink wrap, and label products as required.
- Report inconsistencies and problems to the Operations Supervisor or Manager and participate in quality meetings.
- Comply with relevant ISO standards, safety protocols, and OSHA/MSDS Standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderly work area and assist in security of the warehouse.
- Participate in safety meetings.
- Direct the warehouse work team to achieve prescribed objectives.
- Assist associates and temporary labor with productivity sheets and accurate capture of hours.
- Support scheduling and consistent workforce levels in collaboration with the Supervisor.
- Ensure products are handled according to prescribed quality procedures.
- Participate in department meetings.
- Initiate actions to prevent non‑conformities and recommend solutions through designated channels.
- Immediately bring non‑conformities to the attention of the Quality Department.
- Operate equipment such as sit‑down, stand‑up, reach truck, sweeper scrubber, scissor lift, cherry picker, Aisle Master, or pallet jack.
- Maintain equipment and report problems; conduct daily inspections and minor maintenance.
- Operate all equipment safely and efficiently following prescribed work methods.
- Maintain an active forklift certification.
- Assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks as directed by site management.
- May work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 year of experience in a logistics, distribution, or related environment.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Work in unregulated temperatures ranging from mild to moderate.
- Completion of a forklift training program.
- Basic computer skills; use of RF scanners and WMS functions.
- English (reading, writing, verbal).
- Occasionally:
Hand & finger manipulation, sitting, handling product and/or packaging materials. - Frequently:
Bending. - Constantly:
Walking and standing. - Ability to lift 21‑50 pounds; reach above shoulder and outward, squat, or kneel.
