Summary/Objective
Perform general maintenance tasks at HAC’s units across the Capeas well as some maintenance at our office locations as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Essential Functions- Minor plumbing repairs (clogs, repair leaks)
- Minor electrical (replacing an outlet or switch)
- Changing locks
- Wall patching/repair and painting
- Light custodial work (i.e. cleaning walls to prep for painting, organizing/cleaning maintenance shop)
- Assembly of furniture at shelter facilities
- General construction tasks as needed
- Light snow shoveling
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently and independently
- Heavy lifting required (50 lbs+)
- General understanding of electric, plumbing & construction
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have own vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided) and tools
- Must be comfortable on a ladder
- Comfort level with working in a diverse group of facilities and ability to treat others with respect at all times
- Comfort level with computers (email and work order system)
- Ability to be available night and weekends for on-call schedule and emergencies
- Minimum 3 years of experience in general maintenance
- Home improvement license
- Construction license/certificate
- Strongly prefer LICENSED plumber or electrician, Construction Supervisor license helpful

- The functions of this role are conducted at residential units, shelter facilities, scatter-site shelter units and office locations.
- This role is paid on an hourly basis.
- The hours of work for this position are Monday thru Friday, with night and weekend on-call schedule and emergencies.
