Maintenance Supervisor
The responsibility of the Maintenance Supervisor is to directly oversee the production maintenance, packaging maintenance, and/or electrical maintenance to ensure that plant equipment and structures are in good operating condition. This position also manages, develops, and engages maintenance personnel to support operational excellence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include managing maintenance personnel, maintaining equipment in good operating condition, coordinating maintenance of the entire factory, monitoring the operation of all utility systems, coordinating with planning and procurement teams, coordinating and maintaining an effective preventative maintenance program, assisting Maintenance Manager in the adherence to maintenance budget, participating in the training of Maintenance Technicians, overseeing the execution of planned and scheduled works, managing contractor relationships, communicating all pertinent information to direct reports and other maintenance personnel, taking an active role in process improvement initiatives, embracing a safety conscious attitude, reporting all incidents, injuries, and accidents, and complying with all safety programs.

Qualifications/Required Skills include a Bachelor's degree in business, science, or engineering from an accredited college or university and at least three years of experience in a food manufacturing facility; or over five years of experience in a food manufacturing facility required. Ability to read, comprehend, and compose simple to complex instructions, polices, procedures, and correspondence. Must have effective oral and written communication skills when dealing with small and large groups.
Proficient in using Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with CMMS's (Computerized Maintenance Management System) preferred. Strong analytical, quantitative, communication, problem-solving, and technical skills. Team player, flexible and accepting of changes to assignments and accountabilities.
Work Environment:
The position is located in a food manufacturing facility. Fifty percent of time will be on the factory floor and fifty percent of time will be in an office setting. The noise levels on the factory floor are usually loud, but in the office setting noise levels are low to moderate. Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts.
Occasional exposure to fumes and airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. Requires the ability to flex schedule to address the needs of a twenty-four hour facility.
