Position SummaryThe Operations Coordinator supports the day‑to‑day operations and event setup of the arena. The role assists with general labor tasks, including event setup and teardown, facility maintenance, and show care to ensure the venue is safe, clean, and event‑ready. The Operations Coordinator works closely with the Operations Manager, Supervisors, and other event staff to execute a variety of configurations for concerts, sporting events, trade shows, and community functions.
This role pays an hourly rate of $16.00‑$17.00.

About The VenueThe Ford Idaho Center features a variety of flexible spaces to host events of all types and sizes. The Ford Idaho Center is a unique combination of three venues under one complex:
Ford Idaho Center Arena, Ford Idaho Sports Center, and Ford Idaho Horse Park. The complex is flexible to meet the needs of events of all types and sizes, and is well‑suited for conventions, meetings, trade shows, sporting, social and entertainment events.
- Oversee the operation of all event changeovers, i.e. basketball floor, stage risers, chairs, and signs.
- Perform routine to moderate tasks maintaining livestock arena, exercise arena, stall barn, facility floors, chairs, staging, risers, and other inventory as needed.
- Oversee housekeeping services for the facilities.
- Assign work activities, monitor workflow, identify and resolve common operational issues.
- Maintain an accurate record‑keeping system for hazardous materials communication program.
- Interact with clients, serve their needs within state and local laws, and provide physical facility needs and perform custodial duties.
- Perform moderate to difficult set‑ups in livestock facilities and work around livestock.
- Operate machinery, including forklifts, skid steers, tractors, and pick‑up trucks.
- Review, coordinate, and changeover work plans, facility maintenance, and operations.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Possess superior interpersonal and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to function in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment, handle multiple tasks at one time, and meet deadlines.
- Must be self‑motivated with strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of operational equipment including forklift, pallet jacks, scrubbers, floor buffers, mechanical lifting devices, staging, retractable seating risers, basketball floors.
- Ability to follow written instruction and interpret AutoCAD drawings and blueprints.
- Must follow orders explicitly, work as part of a team, and work well with others.
- Should be able to work alone if required and complete tasks up to final clean‑up, putting tools and supplies back to their assigned storages.
- Work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended work days, and extended number of days.
- Forklift certification is preferred.
