About Thompson Creek Mine
The Thompson Creek Mine is a primary, surface molybdenum mine and mill located approximately 48 kilometres southwest of the town of Challis in Idaho's Custer County.
In operations since 1983, the mine uses conventional open-pit mining methods with large electric-powered shovels that can each move up to 100,000 tons of waste rock and ore per day.
Thompson Creek Mine promotes a drug and alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a zero-tolerance policy with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs on site.
About The Opportunity
We are looking for a Technician, Janitorial to join our Thompson Creek team. In this role, you will be responsible for routine and scheduled cleaning of company houses and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
* Cleaning rooms, including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping.
* Cleans restroom, including restocking dispenser, emptying trash, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning doors and walls, sweeping and mopping floors and cleaning toilets and urinals.
* Uses bleach and other disinfections to disinfect and sanitize rooms and restrooms and frequently touched surfaces.
* Performing minor repairs, such as unclogging toilets and replacing light bulbs.
* Operating floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment, and maintaining cleaning equipment.
* Report any safety hazards or maintenance needs.
* Empties trashcans and replaces liners.
* Restocks rooms with clean linens.
* Sets up, stocks/restocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
* Cleaning/Washing of dirty linens - including towels, bedding, and kitchen towels.
* Ensuring the facility is safe and secure, including locking doors and windows and reporting safety hazards to management.
* Other duties as assigned.
