Overview
SUMMARY:
The Yard Technician helps lead the DAVIS Yard in supporting our field operations at construction sites. Primary responsibilities include tracking, inspection, maintenance, delivery, and pick‑up of tools and materials to project sites and assisting in managing DAVIS’ fleet vehicles and yard warehouse operations.
- Track, inspect, maintain, deliver, and pick up tools and materials to project sites.
- Assist in managing fleet vehicles and yard warehouse operations.
- Perform scheduled and as‑needed runs to and from project sites, transporting tools and materials.
- Manage inventory processes, including tracking, ordering, and organizing tools and materials.
- Adhere to and enforce safety standards and protocols.
- Coordinate delivery and pick‑up of tools and materials to and from project sites.
- Maintain yard facilities and warehouses in an organized, clean, and safe condition.
- Load and unload vehicles safely, utilizing proper lifting techniques.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on tools and equipment.
- Operate heavy equipment—including forklifts and skid steers—maintaining operator certification (CL7B).
- Monitor unfulfilled and partially fulfilled orders in software and update delivery information.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in a construction or yard environment.
- Advanced understanding of tools, equipment, and materials used on commercial construction sites and safe operating procedures.
- Good standing driving record with a safe driving history.
- Strong time‑management skills to organize, assess, and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively at all levels.

Base salary range: $29.81 – $36.06 per hour.
