Salmon School District #291 is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Custodian Full‑Time.
EducationHigh School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) is commonly required or preferred.
Reading, writing, and basic communication skills are usually required.
Familiarity with cleaning methods, equipment, minor repairs, material handling, safety practices.
Physical Requirements / AbilitiesAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, move furniture, lift up to 50 pounds (or more) as required.
Ability to use hands and arms, handle tools, operate custodial equipment.
Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of cleaning agents, floor care, chemical safety (Material Safety Data Sheets, hazard handling) when required.
Skill in following written/oral instructions, working independently, organizing tasks, interacting with students, staff and public.
Ability to operate custodial equipment and monitors building security, safe environment.
Must pass a background check/fingerprinting (especially for public K‑12 school employment) in accordance with Idaho law.
Valid driver’s license may be required if position involves driving district vehicles.
Reliable attendance and ability to work.
