Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Process Maintenance General Supervisor, the incumbent ensures that the mechanical maintenance and repair of Process facilities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross’ values.
Job Responsibilities- Monitor all Process maintenance in progress and all maintenance completed, implementing changes as deemed necessary.
- Schedule work, assign personnel, review performance and make recommendations for promotion, transfer, discipline or dismissal.
- Work with the process operations groups and the process technical services group to plan, monitor, and execute maintenance work.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment (Crushers, Mill, Process plants, and refineries).
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of work performed.
- Perform daily administrative duties / inspection of work orders, timecards, reports, and supply requisitions.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality, and code of conduct.
- Meets or exceeds established performance expectations set by management.
- Consistently exercises discretion and judgment in job performance.
- Works without risk or harm to self and others.
- Help develop department personnel to perform the duties listed above.
- Must be able to prioritize effectively.
- Must be able to complete tasks in a safe and timely manner.
- Must have good communication skills with operations and Maintenance groups.
- Experience with JDE.
- At least 5 years’ experience in Maintenance.
- One year experience in a supervisory or lead role preferred.
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
- General understanding of milling, crushing, and process plant operations.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
- Ability to work independently and also as a member of the management team.
- Demonstrates strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Background Check required
