Accounting Specialist

Make an impact from day one. Our partner’s accounting team is expanding, and we’re seeking detail‑driven Accounting Specialists who excel at managing financial accuracy. In this hybrid role, you’ll take ownership of core accounting functions—from reconciliations and reporting to process improvements—while working alongside experienced finance professionals and leadership dedicated to operational excellence and sustainable growth.

• Manage and process billing, invoicing, and payment tracking in collaboration with the accounting team.
• Review and reconcile accounts to ensure transaction accuracy.
• Maintain and audit carrier compliance files, including COIs, W-9s, contracts, and safety documentation.
• Coordinate with carriers and internal teams to ensure all compliance requirements are current.
• Assist with reporting, month-end close activities, and internal audits.
• Support accounting and operations with documentation and data accuracy.
• Identify and resolve billing or compliance discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial and compliance data.

• 2+ years of experience in accounting, compliance, or a similar administrative role (experience in logistics or transportation highly preferred).
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and recordkeeping.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and accounting software.
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving mindset.
