Statutory Staff Accountant

LaSalle Network is hiring a Staff Accountant for a growing insurance organization in Bedford Park! This is a direct hire opportunity ideal for an early‑career accounting professional who is ready to build hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

This Staff Accountant role supports a busy accounting team responsible for multi‑state insurance operations, month‑end close, and regulatory reporting. Due to internal promotions and retirements, the team is expanding and looking for someone who is eager to learn, adapt quickly, and contribute immediately.

• Assist with month‑end close and prepare journal entries
• Run and compile reports from multiple accounting systems
• Review daily cash activity and positive pay transactions
• Maintain 1099s and complete annual filings for multiple entities
• Support unclaimed property tracking and reporting
• Assist with statutory and quarterly financial filings
• Prepare intercompany entries and credit card reconciliations
• Serve as backup for Accounts Payable
• Support additional accounting and reporting projects as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 1–2+ years or internship experience
• Strong willingness to learn, adapt, and grow
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (Sage 100 a plus)
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to work fully on‑site in Bedford Park
