Location: Glencoe
Senior Accountant
A mission-driven organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing accounting team. This role supports core accounting functions including general ledger, financial statement preparation, and grant accounting, reporting directly to the CFO.
Responsibilities:
- Manage general ledger and prepare financial statements
- Perform account, bank, and cash reconciliations including AR roll forward
- Execute grant accounting and ensure accurate tracking and reporting
- Support month-end close activities and maintain accurate financial records
- Collaborate with the CFO and accounting team on day-to-day financial operations
Requirements:
- Strong general ledger experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with an ERP system
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Nice to Have:
- Experience in healthcare or nonprofit industry
