The Opportunity As a Management Consulting - Actuaries Intern, you will engage in projects that focus on workforce consulting, specifically within the rewards and benefits sector. This role offers a unique chance to gain exposure to PwC's practices and methodologies, supporting teams in delivering strategic guidance and innovative solutions to enhance employee benefit programs. Within our Advisory practice, you will contribute to helping clients achieve sustainable growth and competitive advantage in today's dynamic market.
As an Intern, you will support teams by participating in projects, conducting research, and performing basic tasks. This role emphasizes learning and gaining exposure to professional work environments, allowing you to observe and contribute to the team's success. You will have the opportunity to develop your personal brand and build commercial awareness, all while applying a learning mindset. In this role, you will be encouraged to ask questions, take initiative, and produce quality work that adds value for our clients and contributes to our team’s success.
- Supporting teams in the development and management of employee benefit programs to enhance well-being and attract top talent
- Participating in benchmarking studies to identify industry best practices and develop superior benefits solutions
- Conducting benefit plan analysis to evaluate existing plans and recommend improvements for cost savings and compliance
- Assisting in benefits administration by enrolling new employees and confirming understanding of available plans
- Engaging in agile performance measurement to track progress and identify areas for improvement in benefits delivery
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather information and analyze data for strategic decision-making in benefits management
- Observing and learning from experienced professionals to gain exposure to PwC's methodologies and practices
- Applying a learning mindset to develop personal skills and contribute to team success
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields of study:
Acturial, Acturial Science, Acturial Mathematics, Applied Mathematics - Client service intern positions are entry-level and job seekers are traditionally either in their 3rd year of a 4 year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 year program. Client service interns typically join us during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year
- Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements and demonstrate a commitment to undertaking and passing actuarial exams
- Preferred cumulative GPA: 3.3
- Preferred major GPA: 3.3
- Leveraging AI to create efficiencies, innovate ways of working and deliver distinctive outcomes
- Participating in benefit plan analysis to enhance employee programs
- Engaging in benchmarking studies to identify industry best practices
- Supporting benefits administration to improve employee well-being
- Utilizing agile performance measurement to enhance team productivity
Travel Requirements Up to 80%
The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
