Overview
The South Barrington Park District is looking for energetic, fun, caring, and motivated individuals, 18 and over, for our Summer Camp programs.
- $200 bonus (contingent on completion of camp training and full 10 weeks)

- Actively participate in training prior to the start of camp
- Assist in maintaining attendance, ensuring that campers are properly signed in and out
- Communicate with parents/guardians about daily activities
- Set and enforce camp rules and expectations with both staff and campers
- Play an active role in leading activities to keep campers excited, engaged and safe
- Understand, communicate, and enforce Park District rules and policies to the campers and public
- Play an active role in leading a daily schedule as well as initiate spontaneous activities to accommodate conflict/changes
- Inventory camp supplies and first aid supplies; requisition as needed
- Attend all staff meetings and training programs as required
- Wear Park District staff shirt during all work hours
- MUST be at least 18 years old or a graduating senior/incoming college freshman
- Must possess a valid driver s license
- Must obtain CPR and First Aid Certification (provided upon hire)
- Must have the ability to solve problems as they arise
- Must possess basic knowledge of a variety of age appropriate activities or skills applicable to camp assignment
- Has at least 2 years experience working at a summer camp or in a similar setting
Daily hourly schedule varies Monday-Friday between 8:30-4:30 based on program and staffing needs.
Must be available for the full 10 weeks of camp, which is June 2nd until August 8th (No camp 7/4). Must be available for 1 week of Camp training in May.
