Construction Estimator Opportunity at a leading commercial carpentry contractor in the Greater Chicagoland area.
Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 per year.

- Opportunity to estimate complex, high‑profile commercial projects
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial carpentry scopes, including metal framing and drywall, acoustical and specialty ceilings, rough carpentry, doors, frames, and related hardware.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
- Review bid documents, addenda, and scope requirements.
- Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier pricing when applicable.
- Collaborate with project managers and operations staff during preconstruction.
- Identify scope gaps, risk items, and value‑engineering opportunities.
- Support bid submissions and assist with project handoff after award.
- 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial carpentry or interior construction.
- Strong working knowledge of metal framing, drywall systems, acoustical and specialty ceilings, and commercial carpentry scopes.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Experience estimating union labor preferred.
- Proficiency with estimating and takeoff tools such as Bluebeam, OST, Procore, or similar.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
- Clear communication and collaboration skills.
