Palos Community Church (PCC) is a multi-generational church in Palos Park, Illinois, affiliated with the ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians denomination. The church exists to help people know Jesus, grow in their faith, and make disciples. PCC is elder-led and pastored by Steve Sherrill, who accepted the call to serve as Senior Pastor in 2018. The church gathers for one contemporary worship service each Sunday at 10:00 AM and averages approximately 150 in weekly attendance.

Services are live streamed each week through You Tube. Palos Community Church is a Christ-centered, Bible-believing congregation committed to helping people take their next step in following Jesus. The church has experienced renewed health and steady growth under Pastor Steve's leadership, becoming increasingly multi-generational while maintaining a welcoming, relational culture. Worship is viewed as more than music, it is an essential expression of discipleship and a vital part of the church's mission.

The staff and congregation value biblical teaching, authentic relationships, volunteer development, spiritual growth, and excellence in ministry. PCC is seeking a Director of Worship and Productions who will: lead people before programs, cultivate healthy teams, and help create meaningful worship experiences that point people to Christ.

Below are the qualifications and responsibilities Froot Group and the church have identified for this role:

Provide leadership for worship and production ministries of Palos Community Church:

• Provide strong spiritual and musical leadership for the Worship Team.
• Lead worship with excellence—vocally and/or instrumentally—while cultivating an environment where volunteers flourish.
• Partner with the Senior Pastor to plan and execute meaningful worship services aligned with the message and church calendar.
• Identify, invite, mentor, and empower new worship team members.
• Create and manage weekly worship sets in Planning Center Services.
• Organize rehearsals and ensure all team members are prepared.
• Oversee the Production Team responsible for audio mixing, live streaming, lighting, video projection, cameras, and AVL software.
• Maintain and troubleshoot all AVL systems, software, and stage equipment.
• Ensure all services and rehearsals are technically supported and prepared in advance.
• Serve as the point of contact for all hardware/software providers related to worship production (e.g., Pro Presenter, Church Streaming.TV, etc.).
• Recruit, train, and disciple volunteers across the Worship, Production, and Video teams.
• Develop and coach team leaders, encouraging both spiritual and technical growth.
• Plan and lead team-building events and worship team socials.
• Take team members to relevant conferences and training opportunities.

• Must become an active member of Palos Community Church.
• Must adhere to the Statement of Palos Community Church.

• Must be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others.
• Must have a passion for leading others to see the goodness of God and the gospel.
• Must be effective in communicating in a team environment, possess good decision‑making skills, and be effective in staying organized.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

• Education
  • A Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required.
• Experience
  • 2+ years weekly worship leadership experience (volunteer, part‑time, or full‑time).
