Job DescriptionAn established civil engineering and land surveying consulting firm in the Midwest has an immediate opening for a Senior Civil Design Engineer and Project Manager. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in site grading, stormwater management, sanitary sewer design, water systems, and roadway design for both private and public sector projects. This position requires the ability to manage multiple active projects and deliver high-quality technical work in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform civil engineering design and analysis using approved software and manual calculations aligned with industry standards
- Work independently on the design and production of construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Prepare design calculations, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates
- Collaborate closely with other disciplines on multidisciplinary projects
- Attend internal and external project meetings
- Assist with project administration, documentation, and scheduling
- Support additional project or company initiatives as needed
- B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 7 years of civil design experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Working knowledge of state and regional regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Micro Station preferred
- Valid driver's license
