VP – General Ledger Management
Job Summary
:
The VP – General Ledger Management is responsible for providing leadership and management to the general ledger function for Wintrust Financial Corporation during daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and reporting activities. This responsibility includes following established internal financial controls and ensuring consistency of financial data by analyzing and interpreting transactions recorded to the general ledger.
- Provide analytical skills for daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting, reporting activities and audits.
- Record and review general ledger activity, ensuring adherence to established policies and internal financial controls.
- Oversee integration results to the general ledger for accounting accuracy and lead automation of current manual processes.
- Maintain and oversee control of accounts and records in areas such as leasing, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
- Ensure adherence to proper internal controls and interface with key internal customers as part of daily responsibilities and project teams.
- 10+ Years of Financial Institutional Accounting and/or Finance experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Accounting or Finance major preferred. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights.
- Comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with MS Office; advanced Excel, and experience with Workday a plus.

Compensation
:
The estimated salary range for this role is $98,000 - $132,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
