Chicago, IL (In-Office) $175K-$250K base + bonus
A fast-growing firm is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven Chief of Talent Strategy to lead attorney recruiting, development, and retention. This is a high-impact leadership role partnering closely with firm leadership to build and execute a best-in-class legal talent strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Lead full-cycle attorney recruiting (partners, associates, counsel)
- Build and manage relationships with recruiters, law schools, and industry networks
- Develop proactive talent pipelines across key practice areas
- Drive attorney engagement, retention, and career development initiatives
- Oversee onboarding, performance feedback, and succession planning
- Implement training, CLE, and professional development programs
- Track market trends, compensation benchmarks, and recruiting metrics
- 7-12+ years in legal recruiting, attorney development, or talent management
- Strong network within the legal recruiting community (Chicago preferred)
- Deep understanding of law firm structure, economics, and career progression
- Proven success hiring attorneys across multiple levels and practice areas
- Collaborative, strategic, and hands-on leadership approach
- Direct access to and influence with firm leadership
