About the Opportunity
Claires is looking for a motivated and people-focused student to join our Human Resources team as a Summer 2027 Intern. This internship provides broad exposure to the people side of a retail organization and the opportunity to see how HR supports employees, leaders, and the business.
As an HR Intern, you'll work alongside members of our HR team and gain exposure to different areas of the employee lifecycle.
What You'll Get to ExperienceDepending on business priorities and team assignments, you may have the opportunity to:
- Support HR projects and initiatives across the employee lifecycle.
- Gain exposure to Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, HR Business Partnerships, Total Rewards, and other areas of HR.
- Assist with recruiting, candidate, onboarding, or employee-experience activities.
- Support HR reporting, data analysis, and administrative processes.
- Help develop employee communications, resources, and presentations.
- Participate in HR meetings and cross-functional projects.
- Learn how HR policies, programs, and processes support employees and business operations.
- Support special projects and evolving people priorities.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong interest in Human Resources and the employee experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle information with professionalism and discretion.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Collaborative, curious, and eager to learn.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or later preferred.
