District Technology Specialist Tier II School Year)
Qualifications Minimum of two years of experience in a technology related field. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Demonstrated experience deploying, managing, and supporting macOS, iOS, Windows operating systems, and Google Workspace for Education. Experience with Azure, Active Directory, Windows Server, endpoint security tools. Having experience in an educational technology environment is preferred.

Work Calendar Full-time, 12-month position
Position Goal Implement and support secure, reliable technology systems that support high quality instruction and effective data management, while promoting a safe and secure digital environment for students and staff.
Rate of Pay/Benefits Salary range $62,000 - $72,000. The position includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits.
The Technology Specialist Tier II shall be responsible for the following duties and perform other duties that may be assigned by the Director of Educational Technology or building administrator.
- Observe and adhere to all Board of Education policies and regulations, and all administrative rules and procedures
- Attend Board meetings when necessary to provide reports, supportive materials and information
- Follow all State of Illinois codes relative to technology services and systems
- Foster a culture of trust, professionalism, and positive relationships
- Collaborate effectively with district departments to resolve technical issues and implement technology solutions
- Analyze help desk data to identify trends, strengths, and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Develop, document, and refine technology procedures to promote efficiency, consistency, and best practices across the district
- Evaluate technologies and provide informed recommendations for hardware, software, and related purchases
- Maintain and support Windows Server infrastructure and related services
- Configure, deploy, and manage Windows devices using Azure and Active Directory
- Configure, deploy, and manage macOS and iOS devices using Mosyle or another MDM tool
- Implement and manage endpoint security solutions, including antivirus software and device protection tools, to ensure the safety and security of all end user devices
- Administer Papercut and support the implementation and maintenance of the district wide printing environment
- Provide support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for classroom and building AV systems, including displays, projection systems, audio equipment, and related instructional technology
- Support and maintain building communication systems, including intercom and digital clock systems, coordinating with vendors when necessary
- Travel between district buildings to provide onsite technical support
- Maintain a high level of integrity and professionalism at all times
- Maintain a positive demeanor and communicate respectfully with all individuals throughout the district in both verbal and written form
- Remain current with new technology systems
- Seek professional development activities to improve skills related to position
- Be knowledgeable of and adhere to the District Safety Plan
- Frequent and prolonged standing, walking and bending
- Ability to move freely around the building
- Exposure to noise and activity levels associated with school life
