Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial/Custodian

Position Summary: PLT #3 is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Evening Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment for students and staff. The custodian plays an essential role in daily cleaning, upkeep, and light maintenance of district facilities.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively with staff, students, and the public

Responsibilities Include:

• Cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, restrooms, and common areas
• Maintaining floors, windows, and building grounds
• Performing minor maintenance and reporting needed repairs
• Opening or closing the building as assigned
• Supporting the goals of the Board of Education and Facilities Department

Reports to: Facilities Director

Terms of Employment: 12-month position;
Minimum $15.45/hour with $0.25/hour shift differential. Benefits include single insurance, paid leave days, and IMRF.
