Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for sorting and weighing dirty laundry from the chute area and placing it in washers and dryers for cleaning.
• Manually pull dirty laundry from chute area (250 lbs per hour throughout shift).
• Visually identify and manually sort various types of dirty laundry (bed sheets, pillowcases, bedspreads, terry).
• Push and walk carts to scale for weighing; accurately weigh cart with 225 lbs of laundry (not including cart).
• After weighing, push and maneuver carts from the scale to the washer for loading; read and write data from machine on a log sheet.
• Monitor operating cycle of washer/dryer while carrying out other assigned duties.
• Unloading clean laundry into carts after cycle completion; push and maneuver carts to feeder/sorter area.
• Assist room attendants with laundry—including stripping sheets from beds.
• Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to departmental and company policies.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English (verbal & written)
• Proficient with iOS devices
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to lift and grab heavy laundry up to 50 pounds; continuously lift up to 50 lbs and push carts up to 300 lbs.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Tolerance of high temperatures, noise levels, and cleaning chemicals.
• Good teamwork, well-groomed appearance, and ability to get along with coworkers.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand.

Physical Requirements

• Work in humid, hot or cold environment.
• Push, pull, and carry up to 100 pounds; lift to 50 pounds from the ground to above head level.
• Climb or step continually in small work areas.
• Tolerate areas with secondary smoke.

Mental Requirements

• Communicate directly with management, staff and guests.
• Understand and comply with policies, procedures, job description, memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions.
• Perform in fast‑paced, stressful environments.

Gaming Requirements

Must have the ability to hold an Occupational License as required by the Illinois Gaming Board.
