Engineering Technician
Location:
Coal Valley, IL
Duration: 24 months with possible extension
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up test configurations, including fixtures, part modifications, and required instrumentation.
• Perform testing using both computer-controlled and mechanically operated systems.
• Accurately collect and document data using digital and analog measurement tools.
• Partner with engineers and technicians to share updates on test progress, challenges, and outcomes.
• Complete post-test activities such as teardown, cleanup, and equipment reset.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, including experience with power tools and metalworking equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Familiarity with refrigeration systems and components.
• Basic knowledge of heat transfer principles.
• Fundamental understanding of electrical systems and PLC programming.
