Nucor Skyline is seeking qualified applicants for the Welder position. This role is a vital part of the facility’s production team.

• Weld structural steel parts as specified by drawings or prints.
• Safely produce quality products in a timely manner.
• Maintain housekeeping standards.
• Obtain and maintain all required welding certifications.
• Work any shift, including weekends and holidays as required.
• Coordinate with other departments, working independently and collaboratively.

Safety is the foremost priority didates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

The pay range for this position is $21.93 - $25.39 an hour plus a weekly production bonus. Teammates in this role typically average $63,000 – $87,000 annually.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Welding certification from a college, technical, or trade school, or at least two years of welding experience in an industrial environment.

• Experience with air arc gouging and plasma torch usage.
• Manufacturing or production environment experience.
• Experience reading measuring devices (e.g., tape measures, gauges, micrometers).
• Experience reading blueprints.
• Experience working with welding symbols and common weld defects.
• Experience operating a standard overhead crane.
