Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

Job SummaryResponsible for the maintenance projects as assigned by the Facilities Supervisor and Manager. Perform maintenance of casino, barge and hotel assets under the direction of the Supervisor. Execute daily tasks, assignments, and general maintenance projects on internal and external facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily tasks and assignments as directed by supervisors.
- Repair and maintain all aspects of the property.
- Fabricate, install, repair, and maintain all facets of the facilities maintenance program to ensure continuous operations.
- Inspect assigned equipment, identify weak or defective parts, and recommend corrections.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating pleasantly, friendly and professionally at all times.
- Treat colleagues with courtesy and respect.
- Adjust flexibility to meet changing work needs and demands.
- Collaborate with own and other teams to achieve common goals.
- Maintain proper dress code and display employee .
- Demonstrate proper use of safety practices and PPE (glasses, gloves, belts).
- Report unsafe incidents or conditions immediately to the supervisor.
- Assist patrons with safety directions during emergencies.
- Attend OSHA and related safety training.
- Return equipment to proper location in working condition, properly cleaned and prepared.
- Use appropriate materials and supplies.
- Observe all safety regulations.
- Handle customer concerns immediately and report to supervisor.
- Adhere to company and departmental policies, internal control rules, and procedures.

- Move/use supplies and equipment, climb steps repeatedly.
- Stand, sit, or lay for prolonged periods as needed.
- Good coordination.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Work under stressful conditions without impacting service standards.
High school diploma or GED preferred. Five years of maintenance experience, casino experience helpful. State‑issued driver’s license with a clean 2‑year MVR (no at‑fault accidents). Ability to hold an Occupational License required by the Illinois Gaming Board.
Benefits$17–$18 hourly, depending on experience. 21‑year age requirement.
